About the Cochrane Foundation
The Cochrane Foundation builds and manages a permanent endowment fund for the purpose of improving the quality of life in Cochrane and district, now and forever.
Our asset base is over $1.1 million and we have reinvested over $640,000 back into the Cochrane community, through the good work of our 70 recipient local organizations. In 2011, we granted approx. $60,000 to 13 local organizations.
Together, we build community.
The Cochrane Foundation is governed by 12 local board members who are actively engaged in Cochrane, representing all areas of philanthropic interests. We love community. The Calgary Foundation provides administers our fund, ensuring the best return on Cochrane’s pooled investment.
