The Cochrane Foundation Board of Directors Awards $59,868.00 to 13 local charities !

The deserving recipients include: Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation, Bow Valley Habitat Development, Cochrane BMX, Cochrane Comets Swim Club, Cochrane and District Agricultural Society, CHAPS, Cochrane Humane Society, Cochrane Search and Rescue Assoc., Home Reno Heaven, Cochrane Youth Association, Jumping Pound Community Hall Society, Seniors for Kids Society, and Spray Lake Sawmills Recreation Park Society.

A further $4146.00 is awarded to Quinn Parker Thomson for his innovative medical research from the Dr. George McQuitty Memorial Fund held at the Cochrane Foundation.

The Cochrane Foundation is able to grant funds annually from the investment income we earn on our $1.1 million endowment fund that keeps growing with your donations!

The Cochrane Foundation builds and manages a permanent endowment fund for the purpose of improving the quality of life in Cochrane and district, now and forever.

Our asset base is over $1.1 million and we have reinvested over $640,000 back into the Cochrane community, through the good work of our 70 recipient local organizations. In 2011, we granted approx. $60,000 to 13 local organizations.
